Aluminium lightweight formwork for beams with custom made fixation tool
Group Renotec focusses on specialised renovation and restoration works and they give buildings, monuments and civil engineering structures a new future. For the specific case on renovating railway and highway overpasses, they asked Cometal to deliver a custom made beam formwork system.
The concept of the beam formwork is based on our lightweight Alcom formwork. The set of formwork assembled from standardized Cometal articles was extended with custom fixations. The most importand custom fixation is a fixation beam that provided in three functions:
- aligning the beam formwork
- easy pull-back for the aid of decasting
- an integrated quick clamp for connecting the formwork panels to each other

Hoppe Residential Flats in Temse
DCA recently started work on a brand-new housing project in Steendonk, a suburb of Temse and a stone’s throw from the Scheldt. Hoppe Residential Flats is a residential project with 38 flats, each bathed in light with its own spacious terrace. Main contractor DCA called on COMETAL to supply the formwork for the basement section.
